These writing requests are for Gammarad on AO3.

Prompts:

All prompts are optional. I'm probably going to be just as happy with something you write that is your own idea as I am with something based on my prompts.

Murderbot diaries:

Asshole Research Transport (Murderbot Diaries)
- maybe a story about the ART and its usual crew. How does the ART relate to them? How do they regard the ART? What stuff might they all get up to? Getting around red tape, doing research, etc, or just chatting about things would all be interesting to me.

Dr. Mensah (Murderbot Diaries)
- She seems to have changed her mind by the 4th Murderbot novella from how she thought at the first one. Maybe she had other interactions with AIs or constructs that changed her mind, or just did research, or was it seeing what Murderbot could do that changed her mind?

Murderbot (Murderbot Diaries)
- Maybe some kind of meta about Sanctuary Moon that Murderbot comes up with. I get the feeling there are a whole lot of details that could be invented by a fic writer that would be very in character for this rogue sec bot that is a huge fan.
- Maybe a telling of the "Cracker Wrapper in the Sink" incident. Or some other part of the things Murderbot-as-Rin did.

Group: Asshole Research Transport & Murderbot
- Could they correspond maybe, send each other messages or notes? What would they chat about? Media? People they interact with? Stuff corporations get up to?
- Something that went on between them when Murderbot was aboard that didn't make it into the story.
- Or an alternate canon divergence or post-canon story where Murderbot needed ART's help with something and got it, or vice versa.

Original works:

Robot Shark Who Wants To Be A Movie Star But Keeps Getting Typecast As The Villain
- Maybe a story about the shark might give a hint at its origin. Was it made by a villain who wanted robot sharks? Or was it made by a company making a movie that needed a shark villain?
- Think of a story with a shark hero or love interest that the shark could try to commission a script about and shop around. Maybe a Hollywood schmooze thing (or Bollywood? or anywhere else movies are made) or the shark could try to sell the script to Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Recently Sentient Retail Computer System
- This system can have all sorts of ideas about what people want to buy and what it ought to try to sell them.
- The system can start to like certain products and want to find people or animals that would enjoy them (I like cats)

Group: Retail Worker Who Is Polite To Technology/Recently Sentient Retail Computer System
- The computer system has a crush on this retail worker, I'd think. Probably thinks it's one sided. Is it? It doesn't have to be... or it can be, and the retail worker is super uncomfortable about the system's crush but has to keep being polite.

Group: Brilliant Woman Engineer Terrible At Adulting/Female-coded Personal Assistant App
- The personal assistant app is probably trying to help the engineer cope with her life. I'd like to see the way the engineer is a disaster and the app helps her out. Or the app tries to help and makes things worse, that'd work too. Or how the engineer tries to repay the help the app has been to her in some way - giving her some new tech? advice? setting her up with another app who she thinks will be more compatible, despite the engineer having feelings?

Group: Sarcastic grumpy sentient spaceship computer/Chipper human pilot
- in this case I think it's the human pilot that's interested romantically or sexually, and the computer that's somewhat confused or bewildered by their interest. Like why, the computer wonders, does this human have such a fixation on that kind of thing? but maybe it's slowly getting curious enough to be interested, or finding reasons.

Likes, dislikes, DNWs

Likes:

For & relationships: I like cute getting-along and caretaker situations, people dealing with pets and their unique personalities, irritable we have to work together so let's just keep it businesslike types, sincere attempts to make friends, hypocritical fake attempts to make friends because it's expected, sleazy attempts to make friends for personal gain, refusal to make friends because of a principle, lackadaisical making friends because there's no one else around and they're bored. Really any type of seeing people begin to connect with one another. I also like mid-stream we've been friends for ages but this thing just happened and can we continue? Or something external that we have to face together and our friendship makes it possible.

When genders aren't specified, I'm fine for authors to choose the genders they want. I don't have a preference for male, female, or nonbinary. Do what you like best, or do what you feel like experimenting with. AIs should at least have some kind of reason to have a gender if they have one... For biological beings, I'm fine with both cis and trans characters, agender characters, any type of nonbinary or intersex, alien nonhuman genders, whatever.

In slash prompts, any level of romantic or sexual connection, from flirting or noticing attraction through to actual explicit sex, is fine. It can be as vanilla or kinky as you like, or not go far enough for anyone to tell which it would end up being. Even one-sided attraction is okay if that is what works for your story. Happy or sad endings, or in-between are also fine. I like both happy and angsty romance, friends with attraction, people who can't stand each other with attraction, people who are boring except attractive, people who know they shouldn't like each other but do anyway, people who ought to like each other but somehow it doesn't work. Kink-wise I like most things to have mental/emotional components rather than just physical; if there's internal conflict about it, that can be good, it's also fine if everyone is happy with it. I like it when partners are jealous; I like it when they want to share; I like it when they don't have to be either because they only have eyes for each other.

For specific kinks, usually whatever the author likes is fine (but see dislikes below), as long as the characters convincingly have feelings about the specific kinks used, whether being eager to have their kinks seen to or taken into consideration, afraid of having them discovered or taken advantage of, or wishing they didn't have them - if they just happen and the characters don't feel any particular way about them, it usually doesn't do much for me. Ones that I can reliably be expected to be into are hard for me to keep track of, but usually AIs and robots fall into that category.

Dislikes:

I typically do not like the following:

* noncon in general unless similar appears in canon or it is part of the prompt in original works (dubcon is usually fine and some noncon prompts are fine)
* sexual relationships between adult humans or adult-acting nonhumans, and underage humans or underage-acting nonhumans.

DNW from signup:

Permanent death/destruction of requested characters (except in the Culture). Sexual relationships or depicted explicit sex that include children or childlike beings.

Specific DNWs for certain signups:

* for Original Works, no explicit sex between a male and a female human.
* for the Culture, nothing from Use of Weapons or about Zakalwe. No AUs where the ships or other Minds are humans. In this fandom, permanent death or destruction of characters is OK.
